Christian education offers a unique and invaluable approach to learning. Christian education is rooted in the truth of God’s Word, providing a biblical worldview foundation for all knowledge. As one SJCS Bible teacher put it, “Education without God isn’t bad, it’s just incomplete.” At SJCS, our goal is to provide a complete education so students can grow academically, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

One great benefit of Christian education is the emphasis on a personal relationship with Christ. SJCS challenges students to explore and deepen their faith through daily Bible study, weekly chapel services, and prayer. Dedicated, caring teachers support students in their spiritual walk and encourage them to seek God’s will for their lives.

Christian education also promotes a sense of community and belonging as students learn, grow, and experience life together. At SJCS, we focus on life-giving attitudes such as grace, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude. We encourage students to bear one another’s burdens and put the needs of others above their own, developing a community of Christ-like believers who are devoted to serving others and the Lord.

In addition to academics and spiritual formation, a well-rounded Christian education offers various extracurricular activities. At SJCS, students discover and develop their talents through athletics, fine arts, student government, various clubs and service opportunities. These experiences help students learn to lead, collaborate, manage their time, communicate effectively, take responsibility, and persevere through challenges.

The ultimate purpose of Christian education at SJCS is to glorify God by equipping students to impact their world for Him. Our hope is that students will develop a deep love and lasting relationship with the Lord and will faithfully serve Him, seeking to further His Kingdom and bring Him glory.

“St. Joseph Christian School helped to lay a foundation of faith for me, while challenging me and providing a rigorous and high quality education. I saw it in how the vision and mission of the school played out in the structures and systems in place, and perhaps more importantly I witnessed it in the lives of the teachers, administrators, and coaches – their love for students and their commitment to excellence all extending out of an overflow of their connection to Jesus. Because of SJCS, I am a better husband, a better father, a better worship minister, and a more devoted follower of Jesus. I look forward to seeing how the Lord continues to use St. Joseph Christian School to impact students and through them, the kingdom of God in the future!”
