Thank you for your interest in applying to St. Joseph Christian School.

The school’s purpose is to partner with Christian parents in their God-given responsibility to educate, encourage and train their children according to God’s Word. Therefore, at least one parent must be a born-again Christian, in agreement with our Statement of Faith and active in an evangelical church.

Students enrolling in pre-k must be four years of age on or before August 1. Students enrolling in kindergarten must be five years of age on or before August 1.

Please contact the admissions office anytime during the following process if you have questions. We look forward to helping you and thank God for leading you to our school!

The Process

Step 1: Visit SJCS

The best way to discover SJCS is to schedule a visit.  A tour can be scheduled with our Admissions Director, Cyndi King.  Please contact Mrs. King to start your journey at SJCS.

Step 2: Apply Online

Once you have visited, the next step is to complete an online application. This is necessary for all new students, pre-k through grade 12. The new online student application is completely secure and allows parents to track their student’s application status. Mrs. King, our Admissions Director, will email you the online application to begin the process.

Your application will be considered for admission only after all required documentation and the non-refundable new student registration fee are submitted.

**Please note that there are a limited number of spaces available at SJCS.

Step 3: Partnership Meeting with the Principal

Your application will be reviewed upon your submission of the following:

  • Completed online application
  • Non-refundable application fee
  • Birth certificate
  • Immunization record
  • Necessary evaluations, if applicable (diagnostic evaluation, IEP, 504 plan)
  • Records release (grades 1-12 only)

The admissions office will arrange your meeting with either the early childhood director, the elementary principal or the secondary principal.  This casual meeting provides an opportunity for our administrators to get to meet you and your student, to share helpful information about our school and to answer your questions.

Step 4: Testing

In some cases, testing is necessary to determine the best placement for your student. This will normally be determined when you meet with the principal, and then testing will be scheduled by the admissions office.

Step 5: Acceptance and Enrollment

Parents will be notified via email regarding acceptance and next steps for enrollment by the admissions office.  This notification will be under the subject line Enrollment at SJCS, sent from the admissions office and will arrive within a week of the partnership meeting or upon review of test results. Upon acceptance, families will be directed to finalize online enrollment.

Step 6: Tuition Assistance

SJCS does not want tuition to stand in the way of a student receiving a Christian education.  Need-based tuition assistance is offered to families who qualify.  Families can apply through FACTS when finalizing online enrollment.  It is a simple process and families who need help with tuition are encouraged to apply.  FACTS will return a needs assessment to our finance manager who will then schedule a tuition assistance review meeting with the parents.
