Program History
In 1994, Jeff Robertson was hired to teach Social Studies at St. Joseph Christian School. The versatile Coach Robertson would coach 6 different varsity sports over the next 12 years, but Robertson would achieve the most post season success as the school’s volleyball coach. Robertson’s teams won four district championships and a sectional title in his last five years as the SJCS volleyball coach. SJCS volleyball had five different head coaches from 2014 to 2018. The search for stability ended in 2018 with the hiring of experienced and successful head volleyball coach Erin Patrick.
Coach Erin Patrick Bio
Coach Erin Patrick begins his first year at SJCS and brings 21 years of coaching experience in both girls volleyball and basketball. In 14 seasons as a head volleyball coach, Coach Patrick has 391 career wins, 2 State Championships, 8 District Championships and 8 Regional Championships in the state of Kansas. Coach Patrick has been named Coach of the Year in volleyball 3 times. In 2008 his team was recognized as the KVA Program of the Year. Coach Patrick’s coaching philosophy is to build a team culture built on honesty, integrity and excellence in all that the team sets out to accomplish based on Proverbs 22:29.
