Theme 2020-21: Stand

We are pleased to share the theme God laid on our hearts for this coming year, which is simply, “Stand.” Our theme verse is Isaiah 40:8: “The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God will stand forever.” So much has changed in our world in just a few months, but we can take comfort in the fact that God and his word are unchanging. We pray a renewed focus on scripture this year will deepen our understanding of God’s everlasting truth, strengthen our faith, and equip us to stand firmly on his word in these challenging times. To begin, it may be helpful to recall a few biblical principles which have served us well over the last 32 years, and have been foundational in forming us together as a school family:

Let the children come to me and don’t hinder them.

Matthew 19:14 ESV

The scripture given to Mr. Joe Gregory at the inception of St Joseph Christian School.

Wise planning will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe.

Proverbs 2:11 NLT

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

Psalm 20:7 ESV

Scriptures we have applied in safety planning for many years.

Be willing to help and care for each other because of Christ. By doing this, you honor Christ.

Eph. 5:21 NLV

What a great scripture for Christians to live by in today’s world!
